About Keegan

I am originally from northwest Indiana and my childhood was spent with many different backdrops. The sand dunes of Lake Michigan, thunderheads rolling over humid cornfields, and the towering silhouettes of the local steel mills filled my eyes with vivid and varied inspirations. Now living in Minnesota, I have gained a love for the natural beauty of this region including the North Shore and Boundary Waters. All of these memories and images are usually the subject matter for my paintings. In my artwork I alternate between colorful abstract landscapes where I can fully explore my imagination, as well as realistic studies where I apply my best effort to faithfully depict a scene.

The Twin Cities strong, vibrant art scene has afforded me the time and mentorship of some very inspirational professional artists who have kindly guided me into the world of art. My entry into the Twin Cities art scene started in 2017 when I joined the ranks of hundreds of hardworking artists in the Northrup King Building, located in the Northeast Artists District of Minneapolis and I continue to create and show my work there today.
